One of the three large U.S. automakers identified a need for a compact,
high efficiency, low environmental impact refrigeration system by a
large user. The automaker invited S.E.A. Engineering to participate in a
design project to develop a compact refrigeration cassette based on a
freon-free refrigeration cycle. The project focus was to start with
experience gained during a previous project in automotive cooling and
expand and apply it to a compact commercial cooling application.
On the project management side, S.E.A. Engineering supported the
project manager with project planning services using Microsoft Project
software.
On the concept development side, S.E.A. Engineering
participated in thermodynamic cycle analysis using Engineering Equation
Solver software. The EES software has embedded thermodynamic properties
for many fluids. |
