About Us
S.E.A. Engineering was formed in 1981 by President Edward A. Smallhorn to provide engineering design services to clients in the area of machine creation and product development. The initial field of interest was in ocean engineering, subsea, and diving related technologies.
In May 1991, we became a full-time enterprise. Activities in the area of cold ocean survival resulted in the development of two unique products: a Water Vapor Diffusion Apparatus (WVDA) and a Sweating Hot Plate (SHP). Activities in the field of commercial and military diving resulted in the development of another product: a Breathing Simulator Test System.
